2009 SCHEDULE |
The International Show Car Association was started in 1962 and incorporated in 1963. The ISCA sanctions the largest group of indoor car shows produced in the United States and Canada. In 2007 the Association will sanction 42 shows that cover 27 states and 4 provinces in Canada. Our shows cover the entire United States, with shows from Boston, MA to Phoenix, AZ and from Atlanta, GA to Portland, OR along with many stops in between. Our shows have a complete cross section of the car show hobby from motorcycles to hot rods to customs to restored entries. We have over three hundred and fifty classes available to our membership. When attending any of our shows, it is like walking into a candy store for the automotive enthusiast. Every color under the rainbow and every shape and size hot rod you can think of make up the show. Spectators at our events range from 150,000 at the largest show to 20,000 at the smaller shows. Because of the ISCA points system, they all get to enjoy top quality entries since our members competing for points are required to attend the smaller events as well as the larger ones. This assures the producers, as well as the spectators, that there will always be quality vehicles on the show floor. There are six different categories at every show for our participants to compete in. The categories are as follows: Rod, Custom, Truck, Street Machine/Comp, Restored and Bike. A "Best" is chosen in each category at each show. We have in the last couple of years opened our doors to the tuners and traditional hot rods, so as you can see, our shows have a place for everyone. The ISCA annually gives back to the car owners over $300,000 in prizes and cash, with an average of $10,000 in cash and prizes at each show. There is over $750,000 a year in cash and prizes give back to our participants. We are the only series that pays our participants travel money to attend our shows. In speaking with many of our members throughout the years, one of the most important aspects of running the circuit are friendships that are made. ISCA shows are covered by media ranging from magazines, the local news to having their own TV shows produced around shows such as Detroit, Kansas City, Dallas, Houston and New Orleans. Because of the diversity in entries and the high quality of the entries, everyone wants to be part of the action. So, come and join in the fun. Enjoy an ISCA show in a city close to you. |
