Inaugural Central Texas World of Wheels

The Inaugural Central Texas World of Wheels in Belton, Texas enjoyed a fantastic first-time ISCA event in the Heart of Texas with the support of cars from six states attending, as well as drivers from all over Texas.

The quality of all the cars was phenomenal and the crowds were amazed at the outstanding display of cars, trucks, rods and motorcycles in the Bell County Exposition Center. Exhibitors received the show’s first-time attendee “Fantastic Four” award with a plaque and $100.00, and the best of the four was selected to receive the custom-designed “Gear Jammer” Award and $1,000.00. The Gear Jammer Award was ultimately presented to Richard Broyles for his 1941 Ford Roadster.

Three nitro-burning nostalgia dragsters put on a “Cacklefest” three times during the event, and spectators enjoyed the sights, sounds and flames of the demonstration, as well as the great display of race cars.

In the ISCA Summit Racing Equipment Show Car Series awards, top wins went to Tim Scales’ 2006 Custom (Best Bike), Ernest Hollas’ 1973 Dodge Challenger (Best Restored), Jesse Matlock’s 1972 Plymouth ‘Cuda (Best Street Machine Comp), Ron Kitchens’ 1956 Chevy Cameo (Best Truck), Richard Broyles’ 1941 Ford Roadster (Best Rod) and John Bedenbender’s 1962 Chevy Impala (Best Custom).

The event will be bigger and better next year at the Expo, and Producers Bill Kirkland and David Saunders invite you to be a part of the show in 2017!
